Tinplate (tin plated plate)
The electrolytic tin plated products produced in the company are widely used for packaging containers (cans and buckets): food packaging cans, tea canisters, packaging cans, paint cans, oil cans, chemical cans and other miscellaneous cans; the advantages and characteristics of tinplate provide the contents with good protection in the physical and chemical nature.
The company can customize other types of products for users.
Types and uses
Electroplated tinplate can be classified according to temper degree, electroplating volume, steel grade, annealing method, surface treatment and others. The tinplate products of the company have an excellent fiber bonding, welding, molding and surface appearance, and are widely used in food cans, beverage cans, 18-liter cans, arts cans, spray cans, a variety of bottle can covers, household electric products, electric material parts, oil filters, wire sheath materials and other fields. The types and main uses of tinplate made in the company are introduced below.

1. The annealing methods include box annealing method and continuous annealing. When the continuous annealing material is used, specify ¡°CA¡±, as shown in T4CA, and add CA behind T4.
Note:
2. When the box annealing material is used, specify ¡°BA¡±, as shown in T2.5BA, and add BA behind T2.5.
¡ô According to the steel grade
There are several kinds of steel grades of original tinplate plates as follows, and the steel grade can be selected according to the regulation degree and use.
Steel grade Remark
MR a small amount of residual trace element, with excellent corrosion resistance, widely used in general fields, including container materials
A small amount of L Cu, Ni, Cr, Mo and other residual trace elements, used as the container material with special requirement of a food for the corrosion resistance.
D is AI piping steel, used for deep drawing processing and the processing with easy Luders Lines Pattern.
¡ô According to the tin coating weight
The tin coating weight on both sides of tinplate is the same and different, and the nominal adhesion amount and the smallest average value of all kinds of tinplate are shown in the following table:
Mark of type Distinguish Sign of adhesion amount Nominal adhesion amount (g/m2) Minimum average adhesion amount (g/m2) old JIS (G3303-1975)

Note: 1. the adhesion amount means the tin coating weight on a 1©O single side. But the least average tin coating amount with the same thickness is the sum of two tin coating amounts.
2. In the process of tinning with dissimilar thickness, in order to make clear the difference of tin coating amount, mark the dissimilar thickness on any face, and add D behind the figure of the tin coating amount on the marked face.
3. If other than the tin coating amount above required, please consult with us.
¡ô According to the surface amount
Product Mark Distinguish Characteristics
Once rolled product B Shiny side, which is generated from the molten tin coating on the original smooth plate with fine lines
R Rough side (graining side) the shiny side is generated from the molten tin coating on the original smooth plate with a certain directional pattern
S Silvered side, the shiny side is generated from the molten tin coating on the original plate with pure rough face
M Pitted surface The lackluster side is generated from the molten tin coating on the pure original ordinary pillar
Secondary cold-rolled product R Rough side (graining side) the shiny side is generated from the molten tin coating on the original plate with a certain directional pattern
Note:
1. Please consult with us if other than the surface treatment above required.
2. Please refer to the following for the type of surface treatment:
- Classification based on annealing methods (box annealing and continuous annealing)
Box annealing tinplate
Box annealing tinplate is the post-cold-rolled tinplate heat processed and annealed in the state of steel coil, and has the following characteristics:
1. The soft tinplate with good processing performance can be produced
2. With small crystallization direction, applicable to processing.
Continuous annealing tinplate
Continuous annealing tinplate is the post-cold-rolled tinplate heat processed and annealed continuously, and has the following characteristics:
1. As a result of high temper, the thickness of tinplate can be saved;
2. With uniform materials, it is also applicable to high-speed manufacturing of cans.
Type of surface treatment (the company has several different types of surface treatment for electrolytic tinplate as follows)
Shiny side
The so-called smooth side means that the tin plated tinplate surface is in general softly melt to form metallic luster. Mark in the specification: smooth side is marked with B and super-smooth side is marked with BE. The gloss finish is usually B.
Rough side¡£
Rough side processing means that the slightly matted original plate is electroplated and then is through the soft melting process, so that it has a unique metallic luster; it is a tinplate that results in abrasion difficultly in the processing course of printing, can manufacturing and others and is easily used The mark in the specification. R1 refers to the rough side processing and R2 refers to the extremely rough side processing. Usually, the surface treatment is rough side processing R1
Pitted surface.
Pitted surface processing means that the passivated original plate is electroplated and is not through the soft melting process to form the lackluster tinplate surface, which has a unique and elegant silver-gray surface, and has a high density after painting and is used for bottle caps and printing cans.
Silvered side
Silvered side processing means the passivated original plate is electroplated and is softly melted to make its surface have unique and stable luster;
After printing and coating, a gorgeous elegant atmosphere can be operated and created, and the silvered side is used to make high-grade art cans, nuts, badges and so on;
There are three types of roughness, marked with specification S1, S2 and S3 respectively.
